Manufacture of water jet unit components for a major player in the industry
In May 2007 AIE was awarded a contract for the manufacture of several jet components for C.W.F Hamilton and Co. Ltd. We were awarded the contract due to our price competitiveness, ability to deliver on time, and our quality and control standards which comply with the ISO 9000 standards.
We currently manufacture parts for C.W.F Hamilton and Co. Ltd’s largest jet unit and also some parts for medium sized units. These components consist of:
Wear Rings
Final machining of Impellors
Shafts
Couplings
Sleeves
The materials used in some of the components meant increased complexity when fabricating and machining. Customised jigs were required for some of the more complicated manufacturing processes to comply with specifications.
To meet the requirements of C.W.F Hamilton and Co. Ltd and also the AIE quality standards, extreme precision and accuracy is required in the areas of heavy fabrication and machining of the jet components.
The collaboration of operations between our fabrication shop and large machining shop is critical in order for the jet components to meet the given tolerances and specifications of C.W.F Hamilton and Co. Ltd. Due to this organisational collaboration we are able to successfully meet our customer’s requirements.
