Heavy Duty Press Roll Manufacture

Allied Industrial Engineering has a wealth of experience based knowledge of pulp and paper industry plant and equipment.

Refurbishment of rolls of all types are a regular component of Allied Industrial Engineering work, and this extends to the design and manufacture of new rolls.

The example shown is a heavy duty press roll of 1.2m diameter and 4.3m face width.

The shell and heads were machined from forgings.

The finished roll carries a 25mm thick rubber cover and was finished to a 72 degree crown profile, 1.5mm camber on diameter.

The operating line pressure loading on this roll is 295 N/mm.
