Repair of 11kV motor Design, manufacture and installation of paper finishing crimper

Overhaul of Turbo Alternator for Carter Holt Harvey Tasman


This project required AIE to supply labour, storage and machining for the overhaul of the No. 2 Turbo Alternator. All work was completed under the supervision of an Alstom engineer.

Work included:

  • Stripping the rotor

  • Conducting detailed measurement checks

  • Removal of end bells

  • Re-assembly of the rotor

  • Balancing of assembly to right tolerances
