Heavy Machining

AIE operates from one of the largest heavy machining workshops in New Zealand.

AIE has a broad and sophisticated configuration of heavy machining equipment and lifting capacity that will handle most needs. See full details of our capability here.

The work AIE engineers do generally has a requirement for a high level of accuracy on very valuable pieces of equipment. Clients need the confidence the equipment they send for work will be treated with great care from the time it is taken off the truck to the time it is transported back out. Each step is crucial, there is no second shot at it, it has to be right the first time.

In the world of engineering sometimes things don’t go as planned such as when the engineers open up a piece of equipment and find more complexities than expected. But AIE engineers know their job is to get whatever is needed done as quickly as possible so it is back in action. The greatest reward happens when equipment arrives back with a customer and they can look at it and say ‘Yes, that’s a job done right’.

Collaboration

AIE work directly with clients and they also work for a range of engineering companies throughout New Zealand and Australia to broaden the range of services and capability they can provide for their own clients. In that way other engineering companies can tap into the benefits of AIE’s fully equipped engineering workshop and highly skilled and experienced group of engineering specialists.

Breakdown Service

When crises happen AIE has the workshop capability and the ability to mobilise a workforce immediately.

In essence, AIE is the Accident and Emergency Department of engineering. AIE Engineers never know what is going to come in the door but what they do know is they just have to deal with it. AIE are one of the few 24/7 engineering shops with the capability to get to the problem quickly.

Planned Shuts

A customer needs to work to timeframes to get their equipment back to work. AIE has made the investment in the machine tools and the equipment so that they can handle most heavy engineering requirements.

Solver of Complex Problems

AIE’s engineers have solved some very complex problems over the years. AIE will take on projects other companies will not. AIE engineers get used to the curve balls and enjoy working on difficult-to-solve problems.
